Escape RealityDarkness crawls behind my eyes
as my mind floats skyward,
away from the everyday doldrums.
A weightlessness comes over me,
as if I have been filled with helium.

The stars melt beneath my feet
as I dance the Tango solo.
Their bursts of celestial light
send stardust across my flesh as they fade.

The sun is my beacon,
the heat guiding me home
to that boundless emptiness where freedom lingers,
just there behind the moons of Jupiter;
Saturn's rings are the path I take
to get there.

But what is this?
A sudden weight around my ankles;
a meteor tangled itself among the shoelaces.
Its craters gape in malicious glee.

Beautiful. It's very well manipulated, and the individual components feel like they could easily belong in the same landscape.
It also provides the perfect escapism from modern life.

Cat tails!!! At least that is what we call them around here, not sure what their official name is, lol. We have a whole bunch right by our house and they are losing a bunch of fluff right now, XD
