Eye Tutorial - Spectrum

People have been asking how I've done my 'Spectrum' ([link]) piece, but ~googly-googly2 was the first to ask me to do an actual tutorial. I made it strictly for Photoshop - it's the only editing software I use, so I wouldn't know how to do this in GIMP or anything else.

Please note, though - this is my first tutorial. So it's nothing great. I didn't need any fanciness. I just wanted to get my point across.
