Irene.
Truth be told, I'm quite apprehensive. The storm is so large, and the amount of rain associated with it is so substantial. Where I live, we flood quite easily, and we're hours away from having the northernmost part of the hurricane reach us. It's also almost guaranteed that our power will go out. Work was a nightmare today (you'd think it was a combination of Black Friday and Christmas Eve). I work at Wal-mart, and we were ransacked (for batteries, multiple food goods, flashlights, and so much more). Our SEPTA transit service is being shut down midnight Sunday morning. I really hope, for once, our store will be closed. With half our work staff being unable to make it, plus the dangerous weather conditions, what is the point of opening for business?
I really hope those of you along the coast took the evacuation announcements seriously.
This all just seems so surreal...
Please be careful.
...Ok glad I got that out now.
That's terrible... I'm sorry you had a bad day.
Yes, I hope they are careful, and I hope you are careful too!
And I wish I could send it down (just without the wind). The last thing we need after the last few weeks is more rain.
