The Ghost in the AtticThe rays of sunshine filtering through the dusty old window, half covered by a moth-eaten, dirty, yellowed curtain illuminate the dust on the old trunk sitting in the middle of the attic. As I stand in the doorway, looking at the brown, battered trunk, my heart fills with an odd feeling of anticipation and suddenly I'm walking towards it, my legs seeming to move on their own accord, driven by an unseen force. As I kneel before the trunk, my old fear of attics disappears and I grow oblivious to everything else around me, my only focus on the trunk.
