If your talking about sold-in-book-stores-for-money literature, then yes. Its one of my favorite things to do when I'm not felling very artistic.
If your talking online literature, only very rarely. I use to be really into it, but after a while two things about it started to get on my nerves. The first being that alot of the stories would be abandoned part way through, so I'd never get to read the ending. The other thing that bothered me was how some of the writers didn't know when to end their stories; they would just add more and more to it with no ending insight. When I pick up a book, instead of reading something online, I know it already has an ending. I like it that way.
