Anin is actually my signature iconic nickname ever since I was a kid. I was disappointed though to see someone had already claimed it. 1009 was the first number (with meaning) I learned as a child. It was my first house's zipcode and also my birthday (October 9th) which coincidentally is also John Lennon's birthday.
Once upon a time, I had an idea for a jester character. I tried signing up for a chat site that had a role playing group, and, originally enough, I tried getting the user name "NobodysFool". Well, that was taken (imagine that!), and the site had some suggestions for different names - one of them was looFsydoboN. I don't even remember the original character idea, because the backwards spelling gave me other ideas (so, now the character looFsydoboN is an insane vampire who speaks only in rhyme).
It's most amusing when people shorten it to "loof" and I wonder if they know what they're saying. And looFsydoboN is a fun character. I considered writing up her story for NaNoWriMo, but quickly discarded that idea, because 50k words in rhyme would drive me insane. lol
Common thing. My name is Jānis, the second letter is long, like Jaanis. So between friends they often use to call me Jancis, it's a friendly nick we can say. But when I started my DA account, name Jancis was reserved obviously for another Janis, so I changed the first letter, cos it sounds almost equal. That's all.
Bit of background, there's an actual illness called cat scratch fever. We had a cat that licked the icecube trays and my dad would always say you better wash those out or you'll get cat lick fever! It always annoyed everyone.
Then when I was a teenager (also super duper computer illiterate) and my dad was helping me set up an email account with a new service provider. I couldn't pick a name and he put me on the spot about it. The one I wanted was taken. So he just said he'd put in catlickfever because I couldn't decide. I told him no but he did it anyways and I was so mad at him! Then I started liking it and it stuck.
I've heard of cat scratch fever before (but since I've been around cats all my life, I probably had it as a kid and don't remember ). But that's a cute story. It works well, and it's unique.

Thank you!
